Café Du Jour

Early mornings from 7 am you can find amazing – and I mean amazing – coffee and croissants at Café Du Jour at the bottom of Park Street. Really easy to get to, making it super convenient for a quick start to your day. Even in rain and heavy clouds the cafe has a wonderful sense of space and light. The staff all talk with divine Euro accents and the cafe often plays French radio. It’s a little slice of heaven at the base of the hill – a quiet place before the daily crush and rush begins. I came home last night to discover a letter (fan mail) from Arizona – one part hand written – several sheets hammered out on a 1920s Underwood Standard typewriter. Bloody brilliant!
