Written and Directed by Christopher Cutting, Vitomori is yet another modern classic – dark satire based on historical allegories woven into the social failings of humanity
5 NIGHT SELL-OUT PERFORMANCE!
Lord Vitomori is bored, self-obsessed, narcissistic, shallow, superficial, and the envy of all who know him.
He is also an immortal. An undead vampire who has decided to embrace modern life. His existence is pointless and he’ll do anything to forget it, no matter who might get in the way.
Society adores him – dangerous, dark, seductive carefree and callous; he’s everything people want him to be, but when Vitomori goes to far, his ‘friends’ turn out to be more than willing to turn him down.
Tobacco Tea deliver a supernatural satire on the way in which we live our lives today. ‘Vitormori’ is a good, hard look at just what we have become in the 21st Century, seen through the eyes of a 1000-year-old vampire.
Starring Coasta Chard, Iscah Montgomerie, Jasmine Atkins-Smart, Joshua Phillips and James Williamson, this was an immensely entertaining and captivating piece of theatre. Up-close and personal in the cosy confines of the Alma Tavern in Bristol, the performances and script held my rapt attention for the duration. The players did their jobs with flying colours but Christopher Cutting, only 23, is a talent to watch out for in coming years.
And pay special attention to the rather wonderful by Tommy Parker. Bristol bristles with creative talent.
