Dragonmeet Tabletop Gaming Convention London 6th Dec 2014 - David J Rodger, John Houlihan, Steve Jackson, Ian Livingstone, Modiphius Games and many others

Dragonmeet is one of the most vibrant tabletop gaming conventions and the largest of it’s kind in London. You’ll discover a day jam-packed with things for you to do. Expect new and old games to play, industry panels, book signings, art show, bring & buy, cosplay events, lots of new traders and big demos, tournaments and of course the chance to make new friends and hang out with fellow gamers! This year the Dragonmeet folks are adding in more traders, boardgames, tournaments and some special events running until midnight! Learn more…

John Houlihan, author of the fabulously evocative Trellborg Monstrosities (more info + win!), will be chairing a panel of splendid Dark Tales writers including myself, Martin Korda, Paul Cunliffe, Jake Webb, Jonnie Bryant and Dan Griliopoulos – come along and hear us do some readings and then talk about Dark Tales, Cthulhu, fantasy, fiction, writing and more…

Dark Tales [from the Secret War] is the first fiction launch by Modiphius, the highly successful publisher of Achtung! Cthulhu. I was commissioned to write a piece for it which resulted in Shadow of the Black Sun.  Dark Tale’s aim is to expand the universe of the game through an omnibus of stories written by established authors.  Learn more…

And if you can’t get enough of all this on Saturday, then Dragonmeet is taking over the on-site pub, the George & Dragon, on Sunday 7th Dec for the usual industry meet-up as well as open gaming for those who are staying over in London or live nearby. Parking is free on a Sunday in the area.  It’s going to be amazing!

Grab a mouthful now and taste the Cthulhu Mythos in two distinct flavours

John Houlihan released four books in one day.  Showing off his Mythos Madness set firmly in the universe of Acthung! Cthulhu. The Trellborg Monstrosities, originally published by Modiphius, The Crystal Void, Tomb of the Aeons and Tales of the White Witchman: The Seraph Chronicles Volume One (the omnibus edition of all three) are the first three books in the series, featuring the mysterious Mister Seraph, seer, witchman, sorcerer and implacable opponent of dread Cthulhu and his minions throughout the ages. I’ve built up a reputation for weaving the Cthulhu Mythos as a surprising, often shocking under layer to my thrillers set in the near future (Science Fiction Cyberpunk) and ten years after the post-apocalyptic event known as Yellow Dawn (The Age of Hastur).  Here are links to spotlight articles on five of my novels. Take a look.

  • God Seed involves Nyarlathotep
  • EDGE introduces a new Great Old One
  • Living in Flamesintroduces a new Great Old One (Jy’kalud and the gruesome cult that worship it)
  • Dog Eat Doga subtle Mythos presence that surges up within  the story to introduce a horrific new Mythos entity.
  • The Black Lakea pure, distilled and refined dose of the Cthulhu Mythos. Encounter the Influence of Hastur in this post-apocalyptic tale of scientific discovery and terror
