¦ Dialling in from the Sky Bunker ¦
I finished reading the SF classic, Double Star by Robert A. Heinlein, and am about to jump into Emphyrio by Jack Vance. So many books I have never read! This year is all about making time for what’s important; I am maintaining a tight grip on only investing 45 minutes a day into the new novel, (Oakfield). Although I have started a “fun” side-project which involves a cyberpunk / gun-for-hire Massimo Pandev in the messy extraction of a corporate exec from a facility in Tromsø, Norway (a chance to utilise the fantastic experiences I had driving around the Arctic Circle last summer). Pandev is a main character from another novel I’m currently cooking on the back-burner, Sunder Gloom, set just outside Bristol, the much requested sequel to the cyberpunk dark fantasy (with a new Cthulhu Mythos baddie) novel Living in Flames.
I’ve also been working on a couple of free updates for the Yellow Dawn RPG. Nothing to show yet. Will report here when there is. And to repeat yesterday’s bit of good news: I’ve been commissioned to write a WW2 Mythos short story for Achtung! Cthulhu anthology. Happy days.
