Just got back from a few days in Berlin. Nice to get away from the laptop and relentless mouse-wheel of churning out words. Instead, Christmas markets, Glühwein (mulled wine), bratwurst and feuerwurst, apple strudel with vanilla cream, and me walking about 12 miles a day through historic streets and past incredible architecture and iconic landmarks. Plenty of time for thinking – one of the new novels, a work-in-progress called Oakfield needed some issues resolving. So, all good. Photos and a write-up to follow in a few days.
Meanwhile. If you’re into the North Euro vibe and like travel then you might enjoy the write-up I did of my trip to the arctic circle in Norway a few months ago. https://davidjrodger.wordpress.com/2013/06/29/travel-arctic-circle-norway-june-2013-days-1-to-4/
