WiP: The Social Club – slowwww

Being careful, being thorough

WORK IN PROGRESS: Wrapping  another day of editing and I’m now 45% through the final chunk of work required before launching the new novel: The Social Club. I’m continuing with the slow pace of last week as I focus again on the actual MS, making further red pen scribbles and checking the dialogue fits the characters.  It’s actually nice to be reading the book again.  I like senior verifier Jadon Purgo and I’m enjoying the evolution of his character as he crashes out of his comfort zone into the meat of the thriller; with the Infection lurking just beyond the protective boundary of the Settlement and the idea of freedom a pipe-dream due to the fact the rest of the world (what’s left of it after Yellow Dawn) thinks London should be nuked from orbit.
