Part of a series of images from the liquid metal, carbo-plastic, hydrogel and permacrete core of visual creators on the Internet.  Images that stir my senses and evoke plots and concepts for what I’d like to see (or fear) in the future.

Bob Basset- real name Oleg Petrov – runs a workshop in Kharkov, Ukraine.  Two decades of experience in working with leather, metals, gems, and glass has given him the ability to forge these materials into the bizarre, yet wonderfully evocative concepts of his imagination.  Cyberpunk author, William Gibson, has been quoted as saying Petrov’s creations are by a wide margin some of the most steampunk icons he’s ever seen. And I have to agree. Not just visibly bold and seamless workmanship, but a strength of vision carried through the design that speaks of an innate and intuitive grasp of the genre.  What do you think?
