Elena Kalis is a Russian born photographer now working off the coast of Florida.  Controlling the lighting and capturing skin tone and expressions that are void of  air bubbles and bloated faces, or genuinely ethereal and interesting – rather than looking like somebody plonked into a diving pool – seems to be a great skill of Kalis.
