Mind where you tread

Part of Dark Water Collection of illustrations created by Russian artist Kirill Rozhkov for Danish company EGE
Not only is this a great pierce of illustration by Russian creative Kirill Rozhkov, part of the Dark Water Collection he put together for Danish company EGE; it’s actually for a carpet. What a great way to weave the fabric of the Cthulhu Mythos into the human psyche – creating the right conditions for madness to slowly infect reality. Waiting for the right individual to walk along and become influenced by what lies beneath his or her feet. Kirill Rozhkov walks in the footsteps of literary creatives Ambrose Bierce and Robert W. Chambers, who together were responsible for infecting our current consciousness with the corrupting (and corrosive) meme that is Hastur – Carcosa – The King in Yellow – Lake Hali and all the horrors that spiral out of that ever-shifting realm of insanity.
