Video: outstanding slow-motion capture of bullets punching through armour and ballistic gel.
You should definitely watch this with headphones on and the sound turned up.

This is really well done. And the extended ambient bass-happy soundtrack helps carry your imagination on a journey as you absorb the imagery. For me, these kind of slow-mo-caps make me think about the infinite fabric of nature – how we’re breaking it down into ever smaller fragments. Us, the god-made observers, studying the reality-hologram. On another level, it’s interesting and a little horrifying to see the energy-rips these bullets create as they pass through an object; the ballistic gel for example shows you how much disruption that little, perfectly engineered lump of metal can cause to your circulatory, nervous, lymphatic and vital organs after punching a tidy hole on the way in.
