So another trip to New York and I need to build up a playlist of tunes for the big headphones clamped to my skull when they’re not slung around my neck. Apart from the couple of tracks I already know – and the brief samples I listened to, I’m not cracking open this audio candy jar until I’m pounding Manhattan pavement (er, sidewalk).

I’m a bit of a late starter on these folks considering how many years they’ve been around. I loved Daft Punk is Playing In My House from a while back but never really got into them in a big way until now. Arnolfini Cafe was pumping out this album last night and it brought back memories of my friend Jessica and driving around Scotland last year with her bag of tunes.

First discovered Foals when I was simmering in the bubble-world of Jesus Mound, living out a lifestyle of just writing or chilling and watching music video shows. Olympic Airways came on and blew me away. So this is me finally jumping into their groove. Not listened to any of it yet. Total impulse purchase.
